The restaurant is over two floors. The ground floor looks like a typical cafe, whereas, the first floor is set out more like a regular restaurant.
This is the first problem. Gatsby's doesn't know what it wants to be...a cafe or a restaurant. If it just stuck to the cafe side, fair enough. The food is the same upstairs as downstairs and no improvement.
I had the steak and kidney pie, chips and peas. I think it was a bout £7. The pie was doughy and stuck to the plate. The peas didn't taste of anything. The chips was passable. However, my wife had the lasagne. It would have been better advertised as "curry-gravy-with cheese", cos that's what she got. It tasted awful.
Avoid and go to the Hatless Heron instead. Better food and more-or-less the same price.
Gatsby's need to think what they are giving customers. Terrible
