Good Points: The room was excellent and much better than other types of similar accommodation. The service was also excellant. We liked the little touches such as the trouser press and ironing board. We also appreciated the tablets of soap, shampoo and bath oil.The room was very comfortable and warm and the wide choice at breakfast was very good.
Bad Points: We experienced some noise disturbance. There was an intermittant droning noise during the night. It might have come from one of the local factories in which case it is beyond your control. There was also some noises made by other guests including loud music, people banging on doors at 2am and some swearing from the room above. There was also water pouring from the gutter or overflow outside our window after the rain started.
General review: Overall we did enjoy our stay and when we come again we will bring earplugs, just in case.

Booked two adjacent rooms for self, husband and father who has limited mobility. Reception staff off hand to the point of rudeness. Rooms allocated 203 and 207 - not adjacent and on first floor. Told lift was out of action, but this proved to be incorrect. The lift was so small my father's wheel chair had to be folded and he had to stand to get in at all. 207's door had to be slammed shut. 203's bathroon door was hanging off its hinges. Told if we wanted dinner we must eat early as they had a coach party in at 6 pm. Main course arrived before soup plates cleared. Chips were cold, chicken luke warm, apple pie and custard served on a cold plate. After waiting ages my husband asked the duty manager what we had to do to get coffee. Coffee was not hot. Father asked for a weak coffee and was told "They're all the same". There is no comfortable lounge area to sit in after dinner and only one chair in a double room. Breakfast had to be taken in the pub as there were no free tables in the restaurant. Breakfast adequate but coffee again cold. Not a pleasant experience

General review: Super. Will be returning next time we are visiting relatives in that area.

I have just completed a 5 week stay at the hotel and I could saely say i would never stay there again. If i actually had to pay for this stay myself I would of left after the first week. There is nothing al a carte about the restaurant even something as simple as cooking a steak was not done right and that is f they dont forget about your order to start with. After several nights of unsatisfactory meals and service I asked to speak to the manager and all I got was attitude.
