A nice and not too small local restaurant packed to the rafters on a friday night. I would say the menu is quite dated although carefully chosen to ensure there are plenty of classics. This kind of food is great if done perfectly. Prawn cocktail was delicious and generous. however my main (a special of pork belly and mash) was poor. Lots of it but the pork was not unctious and melt in the mouth as it should be and clearly hadnt been cooked long enough. The result was lots of very tough pork. My partner greatly enjoyed the fish and chips and chocolate pudding to follow. To be fair the restaurant knocked off the price of the pudding as a gesture towards the half eaten main without asking. Service was good. Would we go back? Yes - 7/10
