The doctors at this surgery are first class, helpful, compassionate and extremely knowledgable. Unfortunately, the receptionists leave alot to be desired. Firstly they demand that you call 'the appointment line' to book any appointments, this number is NOT listed on any directory company (yellow pages, 118 etc) and it is not even given on the recording on their 'general line'. I have called today and been left on hold for over seven minutes. This isn't a problem but when I finally got through i asked to make an appoint on the number I had called as I has spent along time searching for the correct number. I was apologetic but simply asked to make an appointment and not call back. The receptionist became very annoyed at this and started to raise her voice!! It's needless to say that the level of compassion displayed by the person is disgusting! I will be leaving this surgery which I will regret as I have always had fantastic service from the doctors. I don't know if the receptionist here are under paid or simply disgruntled but this kind of attitude is the reason people have lost all faith in NHS services.
