Being a child of the 70s when denistry was quite medieval I have always been scared of the dentist. Yesterday I had to have a front tooth prepared for a crown and I was really worried. I needn't have been however. My dentist was so gentle and explained everything to me. He numbed the gum with a cream before putting the needle in and I hardly felt it. The drilling and impression taking was nearly not as bad as I thought it would be and I came out with a very good temporary crown. I will not be scared to go back in two weeks for my permanent crown to be fitted. The dental nurse was also very kind and reassuring. And all this as an NHS patient! Thank you.
