I would like to make everyone aware that Sunflower Florist and Bridalwear are and have been under new management since the 1st October 2008 www.sunflowerfloristhalifax.co.uk . The review left here is for the previous owner and i woukd like to point out that i take pride in providing quality service and quality flowers and such incidents as described in the review would never occur under my management. On behalf of the newly owned Sunflowers florist and Bridalwear, i would like to say that i am deeply sorry that miss finch had such a bad experience and that had i been in charge at the time the incident would not have happened. I have had excellent reviews for all the weddings i have done since taking over and have recieved many thank you letters and cards. Once again i can only say how sorry i am that that an incident such as this took place and that miss finch was left feeling stressed and angry on such a special day. I hope you and your husband have a long and happy marriage.

We were reccommended sunflowers by various people for our wedding flowers, the people in the shop were helpful and the appointments we had before hand were very promising. On the morning of my wedding, the flowers were due to arrive at 10am, I organised everything around the delivery of the flowers-Hair, make-up, etc. At 11.00 there was still no sign of the flowers and as we were getting married at 12.30, and the party had to start leaving at 11.30 to arrive at church, we started to panick, after i rung them, they said they were on there way and not to panick. At 11.15 I rung them back and got the same reply. Finally at 11.25 they turned up, but the order was wrong, they hadn't sent enough button holes for the men or women, flowers had been sent to the wrong house, so between getting my wedding dress on and the groom actually leaving for the church, we had to sort out the flowers, as if there wasn't enough stress on this day. A huge amount of our flowers were Ivory roses and Ivory bouquets, when these arrived they were brown and dying and curling up around the edges. My bouquet and the grooms flower was purple although wasn't brown was still curling up around the edges and obviously dying. I was so upset and angry, that I didn't want my bouquet in any of the photo's. The whole experience before i set off for church left me without enough time to put on my wedding dress correctly, i felt rushed and most of all stressed, this was the one thing that we had organised our morning around, and was hugely dissappointed and let down. I did want to dry freeze my bouquet and keep it but i ended up sending it back to the shop for the bin.
