Having had a few past experiences with other dentists I was advised by a friend to try Avondale. I was so delighted to find a friendly young dentist who was positive and helpful. I actually overcame my fear there and then and don't worry about a return visit. Thankyou !
I didn't find the receptionists any less than polite and helpful. Thankyou!

I have been a patient at this surgery for a few years now and I registered here following a home move. Previous to this, I was a patient at a dental phobia clinic! I think this surgery is fantastic. They have always given me my options and left the choice to me, explaining the pro's and con's of the treatment offered. Never once, have I been pushed in any sort of direction of their prefered treatment.
I am more at ease now than ever before!

Cannot fault the practice who saw me immediatly in an emergency, however the girls on the reception desk are rude and generally unhelpful. All have a bad attitude problem.
It's a shame because all the dentists are nice and explain exactly what they are doing.

I have attended this practice since I was young. I was disappointed when my dentist retired but the one who took over has been great!
He explains everything to me and is very understanding when it comes to the injections (Which I hate).
He is also very patient and has made emergency appointments for me when I really needed the treatment.
I cannot fault this practice at all. The treatment they have given over the years has been outstanding.

I never write these things but just felt I should after reading a bad review just to respond to what has been written.
We have been going to this practice for years with our 4 children some of whom are special needs and can be quite difficult. We feel we have had nothing less than a brilliant service from this practice. All staff have been lovely, understanding helpful, and proffessional.
Lastly in response to the other review, in the years we have been there has only been 1 tooth pulled out. They have done a good job and we would not move our practice.

I found this place to be most unfriendly. The treatment I and my family have received here has been appalling. We have never once had anything like root canal treatment, almost every time we went it was tooth extraction for all of us. I consider myself to have healthy teeth yet had had two teeth pulled.
I never trusted my dentist, he hardly spoke and a check up was a 5 minute look over.
The practice is always jam packed, I guess people think any dentist is better than none. I disagree I left this practice last year and am still waiting to get another dentist.
The reason for me writing this? My son had to have emergency dental treatment today, guess where he was referred to by the NHS, yes here. And guess what happened, you got it right, tooth extraction. Despite me asking if they could save it, he is 10, they pulled an adult tooth at the back, saying they couldnt really save it as they dont recommend root canal treatment for a 10 year old...The dentist who did the treatment had to keep popping out to ask her boss advice, in the end he had to come in and pull the tooth as she couldnt do it..You have been warned
