had truly excellent food here. tables may be a little close together (though with good reason as it was heaving at 7 on a monday night) but the service was way way beyond what you would expect from a humble brasserie. go !

dining room is a bit cramped, especially when the bar is full. service was good. i had a roast pork sandwich. tasted good but served on the wrong bread (too thin) which made the whole thing collapse. saved my the really excellent fries and the nice touch of small boat of gravy on the side which was also delicious. burger, said sandwich and two drinks (and ubiqitous bott of water) was 35 pounds. would still go again though

lived in soho house in my late 20,s - overdid the electric more recently - even stayed at babington a few times. And one thing they all have in common, and this now includes high road house, is good looking menus but very average food. My duck last night proved it. Having said all that the place was busy at 6pm, the pavement outside was buzzing and the surroundings were nice. all very welcome
