I am from Canada and visited this establishment many years ago and the fare was acceptable. This last visit in June the meal was absolutely disgraceful. I had the Ploughman's lunch and decided to share it with my husband as we assumed for the price of £9.50 it would be substantial. We had one small piece of bread a very small piece of cheese, half a small pork pie cut again in half and a piece of fatty ham, plus an apple. It was an absolute disgrace, I would not have paid £1.50 for it. I will cetainly be placing a review in a tourist guide when I return to Canada and I can assure you it will not be complimentary. I might add I did ask the lady serving behind the bar who was taking the orders if this was sufficient for two to share and she assured me it was, which in itself was untrue.
