The best approach is from the river when you get the full grandure of the building built for Dr Battie. In the front is a larger-than-life statue of Marlow's larger-than-life hero, 5 times Olympic Gold medal winner, Sir Steve Redgrave.
However if your arrive at the public car park off Pound Lane and its a summer weekend afternoon, do call in the Marlow Museum nearby the entrance to the Leisure Centre. Currently an exhibition about 'Little Marlow', the neighbouring parish, is featured. Just recently they had an exhibition on Lace Making in the Town. Later, I'm told they will display 'Marlow's Railway' and possibly an archaeological exhibition.
There is a cafe, theatre and good leisure facilities with swimming pool.
