I just recently stayed at The Dove Inn with my husband for 3 nights whilst visiting my son in the area and we found the whole place to be absolutely brilliant.
The large range of food to choose from made it hard to choose what to have every night, but what we did choose was perfect. A special mention to both the landlord and lady who helped us choose wines that suited our meals perfectly.
The room was fairly simple however we didn't want anything too much, and there was certainly a homely feel to the place.
Recommend the place 100% for any type of person, at any age.

we arrived at the dove inn and we where ment to be in a family room with a bath and we had the smallest room there and a shower, we asked for a bath due to having a baby, my husband complained and they said that one man was staying in the family room so we went to leave in the end he gave it to us even though it stank of sick and was very cold and was not clean at all. i think because my husband was not an officer we where just put in the smallest room and forgotten about and the owner was very rude and i felt he had a grudge against women and children. children are defenatly not welcome there. we would not stay agian and not recommend it.
