This is the second time we have been to Rushcroft Farm and we enjoyed it as much as the first. It's an ideal site to see the New Forest from and the nearby coast. It is a small select site so there is not a lot there but for our family of four it only cost £15 for a night which I thought was extremely good value. There is a covered washing up area with hot and cold water, a couple of toilets with hot water and thank goodness toilet rolls, showers which cost 20p. All spotless and cleaned every day so no smelly urinals. Apparently there are plans for two more toilets so the owner said. Although it is fairly well tucked away there is a good shop and a post office in Sway within walking distance. It has been refurbished since our last visit with all the caravan pitches converted into doubles with new shingle and borders and levelled off which was ideal as it did rain while we were there. So our awning kept quite dry on the inside floor which I was a bit worried about before. As there are only about 5 or 6 hard pitches it never got crowded or felt cramped like some sites we have been to in the New Forest and they don't mix tents with caravans which means no-one encroaches onto your space. We would definitely come back to Rushcroft Farm again, it is a lovely site, in a beautiful location, peaceful and quiet and well looked after.

What a delightful holiday cottage. Right in the heart of the New Forest. We found it clean, tidy and quite large which was great for the children. We stayed at the begining of July and the forest was absolutely beautiful in the early morning sun with the owners horses grazing in the paddock. The farm is down a small lane so well away from any traffic which again was great for the children and the owner was very friendly and helpful. It was very relaxing and we enjoyed being able to walk into the village for an evening meal. We would certainly recomend it to anyone

We stayed in a "cottage" which was actually a converted barn. It was very spacious though and comfortable. Unfortunately it was very grubby and obviously hadn't been cleaned properly from the previous week. The fridge had dried food stuck on the surface, and the bin had crumbs and dirt in the bottom. We also found rubbish under the bed and the bathroom smelled of damp and appeared to have just been given a token wipe over resulting in very smeary glass which we had to clean before using. We regularly take this type of holiday and can honestly say that we have never had any problems of this kind before. We are not normally people who complain but in this case felt it only fair to warn others of our experience

We actually stayed in the "cottage" which is opposite the camp site. The accomodation was very spacious and nicely laid out. Unfortunately it was very grubby and felt as if it had not been cleaned properly from the previous occupant. The fridge had a large amount of dried milk at the bottom that looked as if it had been there quite a while. The bathroom needed a thorough clean too and the kitchen bin had crumbs inside presumably from the previous week. As the train lines run alongside the site there was quite a lot of noise which wasn't a problem in the day, but could have been a problem at night as they continued to run after midnight. All in all we did enjoy our holiday in Sway but would certainly NOT return , or recommend, Rushcroft cottage.

The best holiday I've had for years. Have just got to reccomend it for friendliness, the view, the people that run it. Fantastic. Great if you want to bring your horse as well.
