I live in the flats in marco island and have read several reports about these 'luxury' apartments used as hotel rooms, and they're certainly not spacious, and from the sounds of it, the guy who owns these 2 flats doesnt maintain them well. the '24 hour reception' is the security for the block of flats and know nothing about the hotel rooms - i've read several reviews saying they know nothing about the hotel rooms - and why would they?!
the reviews on other sites say the beds are broken, the flats are in poor condition and the person who owns the flats is less than pleasant to deal with once he has your money.
i'm not saying dont stay by any means, im just saying be cautious
