With all the talk of these gardens I was expecting to see something as fantastic as Kew. Compared to Kew it was like visiting a gloryfied allotment bought back to life. Dull with minimum colour and lack of flair. Harrogate in general we found colourless and plain. Out of 10? 4. We made our way out which took ages because of traffic by-passing the town! We made a sharp exit and was relieved to get out and went and visited Waterloo park Roundhay in West Yorkshire which was absolutely breathtaking and beautiful. Harrogate's council could take a leaf out of their book and get some ideas.

A big Thank you to all at Harlow Carr.
we took my mother in law (86) for the first time, We have visited many but i was so impressed at the way she was helped and made truely welcome, including the wheelchair.
Once she saww the motorised bikes she wanted to try one. i was so pleased they showed her what to do even though she had not been on one and for no charge.
The cafe too was very accomodating and made her feel very welcome.
Many thanks once again for giving her a day to remember ( including beautiful display of tulips0
