Good Points: Very friendly made to feel as though house guests rather than hotel guests, very helpful and flexible (provided a meal Saturday evening even though we were late because we had to dry out after watching rugby in pouring rain) Mike insisted that we had hot shower etc first. Lovely large room, wonderful bed/bedding and so comfortable, beautiful grounds. Food good, nice bar, warm fires in main areas. Plenty of hot water. Bad Points: Noisy plumbing (strangely only on Saturday morning and night). Could do with better shower heads although pressure just about OK. Could have been warmewr in the conservatory General review: Very enjoyable, as stated above felt like very welcome house guests. Wonderful atmosphere. Will stay again but when weather better as the garden looked so inviting.

Good Points: Lovely grounds, great continental breakfast and the owners were very pleasant. Bad Points: No tea/coffee facilities in your room so you had to go down to the bar area and bring it up - a bit awkward if you wanted a drink first thing after waking up. The menu was fixed, ie: just asian like chinese / malaysian which is great if you like that type of food. General review: The limited choice of food on the menu. The facilities in the room that are complimentary / usable such as hair dryers, dvd player etc ... What's local in the way of pubs / restaurants in the area - walking distance.
