This is a great value hotel close to Alton Towers. The food and service are excellent.
We stayed here for one night ahead of a visit to Alton Towers (which is very close). The main house is very nice, with a beautiful walled garden at the back. The service we received was excellent and our evening meal and breakfast were also very good.
The bedrooms are in a separate building at the back overlooking the garden. According to the brochure the new management are in the process of renovating, with the bedrooms next on the list; they could certainly use a bit of sprucing up, but they've sorted out the easily-fixed items (furniture, linen, towels etc.) so overall it's not a bad experience. The price we paid seemed like very good value to us, comparing very well with much more basic B&Bs.
