Recently stayed at Formby Hall to celebrate my engagement, golf wasn’t on our agenda but we live locally and had heard about the hotel and spa. Staff were great and very attentive, the food and service in the evening was spot-on and couldn’t have done more to make our break feel special. It’s definitely a resort I would recommend, I’m just surprised more people haven’t heard of it

General review: very good. dinner was excellent and good value for money. The drinks at the bar were also reasonably priced. Did not understand why breakfast was so expensive by comparison, especially as personally I eat very little at breakfast.

Good Points: The bedroom was well laid out with a high specification of equipment
Bad Points: I believe the cost price of the room at £125 per night is comparable with other 4 to 5 star hotels but it would always include breakfast this one does not i beleive is poor value for money.
General review: We had a lovely time in a very pleasant resort where the staff were very helpful, however it's overall value for money is compromised by the breakfast offer not being included.
