I visited Goodies farmhouse restaurant and was disappointed by the choice of vegetarian meals on offer. It was either quiche, omelettes or jacket potatoes. The meal was ok but just lacking in imagination. The decor and staff were nice but the food seemed ordinary.

A friend and I decided to go on a walk, we didn't know where we wanted to go exactly so we just followed a path behind Sainsbury's Car Park. Eventually we got to a bridge and there was a path to the left and we walked along.
We noticed some cows to the left of us and walked past them. We kept discovering little pathways everywhere and we wanted to walk on all of them but we didn't have the time. We walked along one and we saw a pyramid shaped memorial, I think it was for the person who used to own the land before it was a nature reserve but I'm not quite sure.
We walked back along that path and walked over a little stream then we noticed a building so we walked up another path and up a ramp into a small metal hut with holes in the sides so you could look out and some benches to perch on. You could get a really good view of the lake from two sides of the hut.
We saw loads of different birds on the lake, from ducks to Canadian Geese to a grey heron! This was the first time I'd ever seen one in the feathery flesh and I was really excited to see one. Both of us took some pictures of the view on our phones and sat down on a bench taking in the beauty of the location.
Eventually we walked back and I saw loads of Canadian Geese flying overhead and took a picture of them flying above me with their reflection in the water.
I'd love to go there again if I had time and I'd take loads of pictures.
