My husband and I recently visited this delightful establishment and found it to be quite charming with a host and hostess to match. We stayed in the guest house accommodation and the rooms were absolutely delightful - very spacious and spotlessly clean - we were very, very comfortable. The guest house itself has a unique and very special feel about it and the attention to detail everywhere made it apparant that this was an establishment that had a heart. It oozed charm and you really could feel all the t.l.c. that had been put into this lovely restaurant and B&B. Nothing was too much trouble and the weekend was a very memorable one -
Margaret and Paul Wilson made us feel very welcome right from the word go, and Margaret's cooking was nothing short of fantastic. If you're a 'foodie' you really must go to this restaurant - you won't be disappointed - no wonder they have 4 stars! The breakfasts were a REAL farmhouse feast, and we even indulged in home made marmalade for the home made toasted bread! Scrmptious! Dinner was simply unsurpassable, we've dined in many restaurants country wide and this one comes very close to the top.
If you're visiting Devon then do yourself a huge favour - visit Tinhay Mill Restaurant in the pretty village of Lifton, or even better, stay awhile! You'll want to return again just like we do - this special little
treasure was a fantastic find and is a true little diamond in the twinkling crown of glorious Devon.
Go soon - enjoy! We certainly did!
