Lovely decor and style, definitely more of a restaurant than a pub. Had Sunday lunch but very pricey for a small amount of food, although it was good quality. The dish of veg that accompanied the meal was enough for 2 people, but there were 4 of us, so we had to share it out more sparingly. Husband was still hungry when we left! Dessert was lovely, but at £5.25 I would have expected a slighly larger portion. Pleasant staff, but would only recommed it for a special occasion, if you don't mind paying a bit extra for small portions of food!

The Red House can be summarised in one word - appalling!
Firstly the service was poor - there were only 2 ladies serving and we had to wait over 30mins just to order a drink.
The food - was undercooked. The only thing they had left on the menu was Risotto and even though I'm not exactly a genius in the kitchen - my risotto is better.
I had my 7 month old baby with me, who wasn't crying or screaming - just doing the usual baby babble at some stages. I thought they were going to throw us out, the looks we got were less than friendly and then I overhear the waitress complaining about babies to some other customers.
Th icing on the top - as we were leaving and heading out the door, the chef comes through into the bar area and having not realised we were standing there starts swearing at the top of his lungs.
All in all, I suggest a trip to Burger King would be better and that let's face it, is saying a lot!
