Good Points: No redeeming features Bad Points: The Decor was in poor condition. The lighting in the room was poor with only 2 of the 3 bulbs working. The ensuite shower room did not meet building regulations; The toilet seat was cheap and of poor quality. The shower had been installed with no finise. The toilet system was packed away from the wall with a piece of 2" x 2" with no attempt to finish it off. There was no extractor fan in the ensuite and no windows. The Entrance corridor, the stairway to the rooms were in a poor state. General review: When we arrived we were meet by the owner(?) who apologized for his clothing as he was decorating - which was fine. However later I came to the conclusion that whilst he may have been decoration that his standard of work was extremely poor and he was attempting to cover up poor finishes using woodchip wallpaper on all walls. The cooked breakfast in the morning was one of the worst I have ever tasted. Hashbrown & bacon converted to charcoal. Baked beans boiled to oblivion; Eggs fried so fast that the outside of egg was burnt and the inside uncooked; Fried bread fried to a brittle texture. I have stayed in guest houses elsewhere and had very pleasant experiences but I would not stay here again if you paid me.
