having lived in the village for almost 15 years and often visited the bottom monkey for special events birthdays and the like we visited for my wifes x0 birthday, the change of owners as the pub had been closed then opened then closed have done a very good job in the short period of time that they had been here. the menu has a good choice of starters and main meals plus the all important puds the beers where good and veried had a couple of pints of green king IPA loved it.cannot wait for my birthday to go again booking is advisable as it was very busy the night we where there, would recommend and remember when your village looses all it pubs and developers buy to knock down to give access to futher building sites.so to keep your last pub in the village USE IT and it was a fantastic meal which we all enjoyed
