Good Points: We felt thoroughly pampered from the moment we arrived. Restaurant waiters were greeted us as we descended the stairs to the restaurant and tended to our every wish. The food at dinner was amazing - we spent as much on dinner as we had on the room, but it was exquisite. Bad Points: Given the cost and the pampering of the previous night, we felt less well looked after at breakfast - we had to make our own toast to go with our kippers. We were quite surprised about this as so much care was taken in every other respect to make us feel looked after. General review: Our room was nothing special itself, although the hotel's location, the little touches provided to welcome and pamper us, and the food at dinner time lift this hotel far above the average and make it worth the extra cost.

I took my wife for a birthday lunch at Fairyhill and we were delighted with the food and service(by Andy, who was very attentive and a joy to talk to)The whole setting was delightful and very elegant. The food was A1 and we shall return!
