i am an lady of 81 years young , booked on line to stay at the stansted rest, firstly waited to be picked up for over 40 mins, late at night and traveling on my own, get to b and b, dying for a cup of tea, no tea coffee, bit peckish, ask where nearest eating house was? REPLY . 20 min walk, great, not long had major surgery, so that was a no go. went to room go to bed breakfast not far away. Terrible night sleep in dirty sheets, too tired need sleep. awoke at 4am, what the bloody hell, my flight was not till 11 am, got told other guests staying were on earlier flight and could only do one drop back to airport.,!!!!! oh !! awake now , breakfast. no . no breakfast , nnot even a bowl of cornflakes . myself and other angry guests managed to find some hot chocolate and some barely hot water left in said breakfast room. least i think it was. we were then all whisked to the airport taxi driver aasked for th fare said b and b owner had not paid him , i may be small and 81 , but told him to go and get payment from owner of stansted rest, as the lift back to the airport was included in the package price for b and b, or b and no b ., at least i could get something to eat and drink there. and i had nearly 5 hours till my flight.
it was a horrific night stay , i canceled my return stay andwrote a letter of complaint to manager and on line to complaints. only to get my bank statement to see the b...... had taken monies for return stay. DONT BOOK THS PLACE IT WAS LIKE A LIVING NIGHTMARE.

Don't say here unless you want the start and finish of your holiday so bad that it spoils the holiday.
To start the place was impossible to find. We telephoned and were told they were the first house past the speed camera. We knocked at that house where a very irate lady said 'Tell those people to stop giving that information, they are 10 doors down'. When we eventually arrived and gave them the message the guy said 'I never said that'. Funny that other people had misheard too.
On our return we were told to telephone and a car would pick us up. Our first call was answered by an answer machine. 10 minutes later our call was answered by a man who said 'Wher are you?'. We said 'By the sign clearly marked pick-up point'. He said he'd be with us in 15 to 20 minutes. After 45 minutes I again telephoned to be told 'We've been but can't find you'. We were then told to get a taxi and they would pay. We were waiting in the cold for almost an hour when we got back to collect our car there was not one word of apology.
If you don't want your holiday ruined don't stay at Stanstedrest B&B.
