Having read the other two reviews, I was a bit worried about going to lacey's guest house. What were those two reviews on about - they are rubbish. lacey's guest house is a refreshing establishment - the hosts were very helpful and knowledgable, my room was exceedingly clean and well equipped, the breakfast was really nice and plentiful. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay, so convenient for the town and surrounding areas (I didn't have my car and did everything by bus or foot). I stayed in the same week as a lot of other guests, who were of the same opinion. Their visitor's book is full of superb comments - have a look at this guest house on laterooms to see further positive comments.

Having just stayed in this accommodation, let me start with the good points. 1, Very good location 2, Good hosts 3, Good breakfast Bad points 1, Room was very small and tired looking, double bed pushed up against the wall had to peer round to see tv which was had a rubbish signal. 2, Hair in the shower on arrival dust on the toilet roll holder. 3, Because not all rooms are en-suite we were subjected to the floor aboves communal toilet being flushed most of the night and our room was next to the cistern tank keeping us awake continually filling up.Gave up at 4am,went home.

Lacey's Guest House - I would not recommend you stay here. On the 1st day we arrived, hours after checking in , at 4 in the afternoon, there was no hot water available. We told the owners of the guest house this and they became argumentative, threatening, emotionally backmailing. It was a dissapointment staying in a room that was described as a family room, but was dangerous for a family with a child. There was alot more that was also just not upto standard about the guest house. Please avoid this guest house.
