Our visit to South Petherton was wonderful as we met some of the nicest people in the UK, my wife and I often talk about our visit there.
We were directed to a beautiful guesthouse by the Tourist Board in Yeoville. The owners of the guest house were from London and moved to South Petherton to get away from the 'ratrace" His name was Alfred and unfortunately I can't remember his beautiful wifes name.
After signing in, Alfred and wife invited us for tea, cookies and conversation about England and Canada in the parlour.During our conversation I asked if they could recommend a place to dine for dinner. The wife called the Old Bakehouse and made dining reservations for us. The restaurant was close enough so that we could walk to it from our accomodation.
What a wonderful experience it was. The meal was superb as was the ambance, the host was very gracious and accomodadating. If anyone reading this review knows the owner of a guest home named Alfred, would you please send me their names and address and or email as I would like to contact them.
Thanks for a great time
