what an excellent day of traditional dance preformed as it was nearly a 100 years ago a tradition that does Goathland proud and to see the support it gets from the villagers is well worth a day visit even though the weather can be bitter it does not fase even the young members from dancing through the village

Good Points: Fantastic location for Waddesdon estate, hotel very clean and historic building. We had a room at the back which was great. Had a good welcome at the village church.
Bad Points: First course of evening meal was not up to scratch. The staff were very helpful, friendly and made the stay enjoyable, but there seems to be a lack of overall management in the hotel as it lacked a bit of organisation.
General review: A lovely overnight.

Stayed in this hotel coming home from a family holiday in France. My wife, the four chidren and I were tired after a long journey. Greeted by a lady on reception who went out of her way to accomodate us. The hotel is well presented and the suites that we stayed in were roomy and comfortable. The only disappointment being the televisions, which had poor reception.
The younger children (aged 1 and 3) are fussy eaters but the chef managed to create a fabulous meal for them using some of the side orders and a few sausages.
This was pleasant experience and rounded off our holiday a treat. Thanks to all the staff at the five arrows.
