Went along to the rose and crown in winlaton as i have heard lots of good things about the new owners and have been meaning to go for a while and my god i was not dissapointed, i was greeted with a big smile from the woman behind the bar, i order a pint of real ale that was served again with that big smile and tasted gorgeous. I sat down in a comfortable, cozy room and ordered fish and chips with salad, the fish was more like a whale i enjoyed every last bite then i was told there was a quiz at 9pm. So i ordered another lovely pint and waited for the quiz to start, 8.30 not many people in but they all crammed in just before 9, was 12 teams ( i didnt realize quizes were still as popular) Jo, the host/owner had a great selection of questions and she seems to have put the fun back into it with daft spot questions and a boobie prize and you even get a free supper. I would just like to say well done to these people for working so hard at a business that is dieing these days and yet these guys really seem to be making a go of it. I will be back very soon, thank you for an enjoyable night
