This is really grim. Scruffy, smelly and untidy. The attic bedroom we were given was a joke. No windows to look out of just skylight window. No T.V. Smelly en-suite acute sloping ceilings. Fire risk? Made an excuse and made a hasty retreat losing our money. Be warned

Our stay at the Givendale Guest House was the worst I have ever had. The room was very basic, no television. It did have a t.v lounge, but it was not somewhere you could feel relaxed. It was also dirty, and the smell of dampness was making us both feel very ill. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work and you couldn't even open a window. Neither of us showered in the morning, as the shower was filthy.
We left at 6.30 the following morning, after having slept fully clothed.
