If you like being really close to the speed, power and smells of cars from a Mini to a Pilmeam then Barbon is the place for you. if you get there early enough (Before 10am) you can make your way up to the banked hairpin and get settled for the day. You can see all of the track from the first bend and when the big guns roar past you can actually feel the thunder coming through the ground. Up on the hill is a mobile refreshment van for snacks drinks etc and also toilets. But Barbon is the kind of place where you can wonder into the pits and have a natter to the drivers and get really close to those lovely big methonol powered engines along with the wif now and again of Castrol R, now that s worth it alone. The price is for a car full and last year it was £7. Well worth it. Barbon usually falls the same week end as the FA Cup on the saturday as they go to Harrewood house on the Sunday. Take it from me, you will not be disapointed, Barbon is a real thrill and cheap to boot
