Stayed at the Ship while attending a wedding this weekedn and thought the managers are pleasant enough the standards are way below par. Shoddy service; extremely slow brakfast service; poor recording and booking features. And is this the only hotel in England that does not take card payments bu asks you to go to the local cash point!!?? Other guests at wedding had similar expereinces and we have notified the venue of the wedding AND the local tourist board to please STOP recommending The Ship!! Until things "shape up" anyway!

We recently stayed here on our way to Exeter. I must say the service was friendly and the staff were exceptional in making us welcome. The food we had in the evening was exceptional for the money we paid. The rooms were fantastic with ample space and ive never seen such big bathrooms ! The facilities lacked a T V however SKY tv was available in the bar for our sport.
