Good Points: All public areas and rooms very clean. Owners very pleasant and service at breakfast was excellent.
Bad Points: Got soaked in the Blackpool rain and nowhere really in the family room we had booked to hang clothes to dry out. Initial reception area is not particularly welcoming, however, give it a chance and once you get past the ground floor lobby you should have a very pleasant stay.
General review: Travelling with a 3 year old and a 10 year old we booked a family room. Room was a good size for four with good size bathroom with an adequate shower, toilet and wash basin. Sufficient storage space for a short stay. Very limited parking at the hotel, however, plentiful on street parking around. Breakfast was self service cereal and juice followed by a cooked breakfast and plentiful tea, coffee, toast and preserves. The licensed bar was good for a relatively small hotel and was well stocked with a large TV showing Sky Sports. Very welcome on a wet and windy Saturday afternoon. Overall a comfortable hotel for a short stay with the reviews on the Active Hotels website giving a genuine and realistic expectation.
