Good Points: Wonderful old historic building, convenient to our relatives residence, close to the main road, good facilities.
Bad Points: The rooms were a little disaponting but the main problem was the beds in both rooms. The mattresses were obviuosly worn and made a good nights sleep for all of us very difficult. Breakfast was also a little dissapointing with limited choice. I stay at the Barnham Broom in Norwich on a regular basis and as a family we stay at the Marriot in Newcastle and at the Castle Green in Kendal several times a year all far superior in rooms and also beds. I must say the Premier Inn beds are vastly superior to yours. I know this sounds petty but as we chose your Hotel so we could get a good nights sleep after a family party and before a long drive home, it failed to provide us with what we wanted. Apart from the above the rest of the Hotel was fine.
General review: We travel to the area at least twice a year as our families live local and this was the first time we stayed at the Ramada, based upon this experience i.e poor nights sleep etc, we are probably going to stay at our previous choice The Marriot at Hollins Hall. We would consider staying again if the above faults were rectified.
