Gainsborough's House is the birthplace of Thomas Gainsborough RA (1727-1788). The Georgian fronted town house, with an attractive walled garden, displays an outstanding collection of the artist's work together with eighteenth century furniture and memorabilia. A varied programme of temporary exhibitions on both historic British art and contemporary art is shown throughout the year.


Months Open: All year, Monday to Saturday 105pm Sunday 11-5pm. Closed Good Friday and between Christmas and the New Year.
