Moira Furnace is a 19th century iron blast furnace. The museum guided tour provides information on how the furnace worked and the lives of its inhabitants.

Also on site there is a tea room, craft workshops, gift shop, craft workshops, lime kilns, children's adventure playground, woodlands, tow paths, cycle routes and walks. The Ashby Canal boat trips run daily with special lock trips on Sundays through the newly constructed Moira Lock.

Education and activity packs are available and the furnace site is host to a wide range of events throughout the year - from pond dipping and bug hunting to canal festivals and live music. All ages and abilities welcome.
