The Award Winning Bricklayers Arms is tucked away in the tiny Hertfordshire Village of Flaunden which you can find at the end of the winding lanes which snake between Chipperfield and Latimer. A picturesque pub in a beautiful location often featured in film and tv series. Alvin and Sally Michaels recently refurbished this ivy clad 18th Century listed building. You are sure to receive a warm welcome and enjoy the atmosphere with its low wooden beams and real log fire. In the summer you can enjoy a meal on the patio and garden surrounded by acres of fields and lush green countryside.

Over the past five years, The Bricklayers Arms has certainly gained an excellent reputation for its English traditional and French fusion menu created buy its Michelin trained chef, Claude Pallait. You can enjoy the same menu throughout the restaurant and pub seven days a week with dishes ranging at lunch time from their famous Steak and Kidney Ale Pie to matured Fillet Steaks and local game. Organic and local produce is used whenever possible.

The Evening menu offers several starters including, Egg Meurettes on garlic croutons with a shallot, bacon and red wine jus or their home smoked selection of fishes and meats to main courses of Best End of Lamb served with a pea flan: locally farmed Pork with a brambly apple compot & cider jus or Chicken Mozzarella with a Smoked Bacon and Mushroom sauce. There are always a number of fish dishes with daily specials on the menu. Fine ales and a selection of more than 140 wines from their award winning wine list are on offer for all discerning tastes and budgets.
