First chartered in 1553 this wonderful market has 160 stalls running
through the very centre of the city, open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. So
many bargains the national chain stores find it difficult to compete.
We also run two farmers markets in the district.
St Albans City Centre Farmers Market, 2nd Sunday of every month 60 Stalls of
excellent food stalls from homemade baked goods to wild boar meat.
Wheathampstead Farmers Market, 3rd Sunday of every month. 40 Stalls, a mix
of craft and food stalls in the centre of the village, East Lane Car Park.
