The hamlet of Whitehough is found via Chinley off the B6062 or via the sign on the B5470 at Chapel-en-le-Frith. It is worth seeking out The Old Hall Inn, a historic premises attached to Whitehough Hall: the present structure dating back to the 16th century. The interior is comfortable and welcoming, while the superb beer garden (part of the main Hall) is a simply wonderful place to enjoy a relaxing drink. Michael and Ann Capper have been the owners here since 1979 and the inn offers traditional cask ales. Food is the big draw here, served Mon to Thurs 5pm-9pm
Fri 5pm-9.30pm Saturday 12pm-2pm, 5pm 9.30pm and Sundays midday to 8pm. The excellent range of dishes include tempting delights such as home-made game pie, stilton chicken and chargrilled steaks and much more.
The inn also boasts four superior ensuite guest bedrooms, comfortable, attractive and available all year round.
