Our hotel is ideally situated to take full advantage of all the areas best scenic highlights It was the site of four 18th century Burgage Houses.

The magnificent stairway was bought from Brandenburg House in London; the former home of Queen Caroline, along with an Italian marble floor which has since been destroyed.

During the Second World War the army commandeered the house as a barracks for officers.
