Welcome to the Kingfisher Inn, we are a family owned and operated hotel at the head of the old wharf road in the small village of Shillingford by the River Thames near Wallingford. If you are here on business the following are near by :-Oxford Science Park and Milton Business Park, UKAE at Culham, Diamond Light at Harwell, Enviroment Agency, British Geological Survey, Wallingford Software & HR Wallingford at Howberry Park, South Oxfordshire District Council at Crowmarsh, Fugro Hithercroft Wallingford or Monument Business Park Chalgrove. For tourists we are ideally located for visiting the city of Oxford (famed for its universities), Blenheim Palace (birthplace of Churchill), Henley Regatta or maybe Garsington Opera, all are only a short drive or bus journey from us. For those having a special treat The Manoir Aux Quat Saisons is only a short drive / taxi away. If you like to walk we have the Thames Footpath directly outside our entrance with a superb six-mile loop along the riverbank and through a woodland nature reserve.

The facilities here are of excellent standard, all are guests rooms are en-suite with bath/showeroom. The Bar & Restaurant area is a mix of old and new, with open wood burning stove for winter and ceramic floor for cooling the summer. The atmosphere here is relaxed and informal with a strong emphasis on good homcooked food all being prepared in our kitchen.
