Craft Town Scotland is a community driven project established in 1998 to regenerate the small rural town of West Kilbride and make it a better place to live, work and visit.

There are 8 craft studios, where work is designed and then made by our skilled makers on the premises. Whilst work is available for sale, the studios are not just retail outlets - this is an added bonus! We are fortunate to have makers of the highest standard, from those just starting out to those with an established reputation.

Current policy is that all studios should open to the public a minimum of 3 days per week - Thursday, Friday and Saturday, although many open over and above this.

Our exhibition space, "The Gallery, WK", showcases the work of established makers alongside recent graduates fro Scotland, the UK and beyond. The quality of exhibitions has been recognised - in 2007 it was one of a number of independent galleries highlighted "a place to see" contemporary craft in Scotland.

Our gift shop, "The WK Initiative Centre" is packed with affordable, quality giftware hand-crafted by local amateur and other makers. Both gallery and gift shop are staffed by volunteers.
