Built in the 17th century, there has been an inn on the site of this hotel since the 1350's. Currently under refurbishment, the hotel offers comfortable en suite bedrooms, each one telling a story from the past.
Famous former guests include Peter The Great from Russia and King Henry VIII, who ordered the former inn to be built in celebration of the arrival of the Portsmouth Navy.
Traditional pub meals and snacks are served, and in sunny climes, drinks can be enjoyed in the beer garden. The hotel has a function room that accommodates up to 40 people. Enjoy a warm welcome and friendly atmosphere at The Kings Arms and Royal Hotel.
