The un-spoilt Somerset village of Montacute the location of the film Sense and Sensibility is where you will find our charming 18th Century Hamstone Coaching Inn The Phelips Arms. Not only are we surrounded by beautiful countryside, the impressive Montacute National Trust House is just 200 yards away.

We have on offer five individual enchanting en-suite rooms, most with stunning views of Montacute. We cook a hearty breakfast to kick-start your day. For those chilling evenings you can enjoy an exiting freshly cooked mouth watering meal by our roaring log fire or for those lazy summer days how about lunch in our beautiful walled garden.

We are the only pub in Somerset with its very own hot and cold Smokery – Please come and sample some of our delights, you won’t be disappointed!
