Risley Hall Hotel is a Saxon country house its prosperity grew with the lace industry in the last century. Risley Hall Hotel itself has a history that goes back to the 11th century. It prospered in the Grand House in Victorian times under the ownership of a flamboyant entrepreneur called Ernest Terah Hooley.
