Birdoswald Roman Fort is a few miles away. Hadrian's Cycleway passes our door and we have secure storage for cycles. For walkers we can pick you up and drop you off at various places on Hadrian's Wall.Sands House has an interesting history being at times an inn, a grocers shop, a public house, a hotel and now a guesthouse. The spacious lounge gives panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.
