f you want to walk, climb, swim, sail, cycle, motor cycle, tour or just relax in the glorious scenery of England's most beautiful National Park, then Ambleside Backpackers is a great place to stay. Ambleside has shops, a beautiful church, lots of pubs and restaurant's, museum, waterfall etc.
Sleeping accommodation is in single sex or mixed dormitories, all with wash basins and fine fell views (if you stand up in the attic rooms!). There are male and female shower rooms, also lockers and clothes wash/drying facilities and a drying room (should you happen to encounter a rain shower) a very comfortable lounge, a great kitchen for guest use and a pleasant dining room
