Situated in the heart of rural Essex, Great Dunmow is an attractive market town, rich in history and within easy reach of Stansted Airport. The Saracens Head Hotel dates back to the 16th Century and was originally a coaching inn, at which Oliver Cromwell is reputed to have stayed. The distinctive property has 31 bedrooms all ensuite and two conference rooms and is in an ideal location for both business and leisure travellers.

We have a superbly elegant traditional and contemporary feel Restaurant with an excellent ambiance, which offers it diners, an appetizing choice of traditional cuisine, complimented by a modern yet Old World Bar, which also offers a full range of bar meals, and a selection of local ales which are available all day. We also have a small lounge area to relax in. So why not come along to relax and unwind in our 400 year old coaching Inn Hotel.
