The Britannia Inn & Restaurant was re-launched in early December 2012, after a major refurbishment.
Our aim is simple ˆ to serve good food and drink, at sensible prices in a relaxed, friendly and welcoming environment.
We passionately believe in providing honestly good food, using the best local ingredients in season, wherever possible, in a simple, but traditional Devon manner We know that not everyone wants the same things from a pub. You might want a pint of Otter real ale at the bar and a bit of Œcraic‚ with your colleagues after work - or just a bottle of your favourite wine and a bar snack in front of the log fire ˆ or perhaps a more formal meal with your friends or partner in our cosy restaurant! What‚s your choice?
Our Sunday Carvery is already famous with it‚s choice of quality cuts of beef or lamb or pork, accompanied by a vast range of vegetables, roast potatoes, stuffing, Yorkshire puddings and of course thick, rich, gravy ˆ go on, bring the family or meet up with some old friends and catch up on the week‚s happenings!
All in all, simple traditional dishes well cooked and stylishly presented. Service offered by cheerful staff, who are both pleasant and helpful, will make us achieve our sole aim - to make your visit a memorable one ˆ for the right reasons!
We are situated in the old village of Knowle just outside Budleigh Salterton on the B3178.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
