This property has been the subject of extensive renovations by Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner Shahriar Mazandi, designer of the Lalique Garden, Chelsea 2005. Guest rooms have been hand painted in eco-limewash; a rich and lush paint free of noxious chemicals as used in conventional paints. Linen is Egyptian cotton and bathrooms and shower rooms are in noce travertine mosaic or crema marfil stone tiles. The bedrooms, dining room and the two reception rooms, welcome visitors with contemporary photography and art books, objects found, wood burning stoves, chess, draughts and backgammon boards. Standard background music ranges from chill-out, contemporary lounge, jazz, or Rachmaninov or Bach ... or your choice, should you decide to take over a room for a private gathering with your friends. Prints and photographs on the walls are a mix of collected works and Mazandi's own documentary images, as shown at the Royal Geographical Society, The Blackhawk Museum in California, The Sunday Times magazine, various galleries and as syndicated globally by Katz Pictures. Champagne & raw organic chocolate awaits you on arrival. The garden is a town garden with sea views and has small trees of apples, pears and plums, an assortment of herbs including sage, rosemary to several varieties of mint, blueberries and cranberries and various other culinary plants that are offered to guests when in season. All this, however, is temporary as permission has been granted to excavate the entire garden to create underground rooms, a sauna and heated rock pools. The roof of this structure will form the new garden. This work will be undertaken in due course but the garden remains a work in progress for now. The Cloudesley is also a boutique health centre with an emphasis on nutrition and well being. On offer are a range beauty treatments, allergy, hair & mineral analysis tests and many holistic therapies. Please review the therapies page on our website for further information
