Holywell Bay is a small village on the north Cornish coast which has a huge wide sweeping sandy beach, cloaked by sand dunes, and a stream that runs through it into the sea. Apart from enjoying the surfing and swimming, there is much to explore, whether you choose the Sea Cave or Holy Well that the village was named after, or there is always the cliff walks with stunning scenery and wildlife. The close proximity of the fabulous Fun Park where young visitors may enjoy Merlin’s Maze, Go Karting, Bumper Boats, Laser Shooting and so much more. Or experience the amazing story of Cornwall’s myths, legends and history that is told at Tunnels Through Time, with scintillating exhibits of King Arthur, Merlin, smugglers and many more unravelling an intriguing story. Or how about the wonders of Mother Nature on display which is spread over ten acres at Newquay Zoo. Porthcurno Submarine Telegraphy Museum is where the fascinating history is re-told when visitors enter the underground Telegraph Station. Or perhaps a journey into the romantic era of steam is more for you, the Lappa valley Steam Railway travels through a picturesque Cornish valley backdrop. Whatever the reason for visiting Holywell Bay the temptation to return is one hard to resist.
